In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Board of Trustees will be temporarily changing its meeting procedures to protect the public health and the safety of the general public, applicants, interested persons and our staff, while at the same time insuring that the essential work of government will continue without interruption during this difficult time.
Following the Governor’s proclamation of a state of emergency, he issued several Executive Orders with regard to COVID-19 outbreak. We provide the link to his Office https://www.governor.ny.gov/executiveorders. The relevant order is Executive Order 202.1.
The changes are as follows:
Suspension of In-Person Public Access
All in-person public access to Board meetings will be suspended. The public can view meetings in real-time and archived on the Village’s website, at PC TV http://www.portchesterny.com/pc-tv.
With the suspension of in-person access to Board meetings, the Board must particularly address the subject of public hearings. The Board has several important matters that are coming up that require public hearings. Therefore, for these matters, the Board will open a public hearing and provide a written comment period for ten (10) days before entertaining action. All written comments will be considered by the Board and entered into the public record, provided they are received by the Clerk prior to the close of business day within ten (10) days of the hearing.
