Welcome to the Village of Port Chester web site! Having recently been honored by the people of our Village to serve as their new Mayor, I couldn't be more excited about working with them to help Port Chester reach its potential. Everyone who loves Port Chester like I do agrees: Our Village has wonderful potential. And now is the time to realize it!
The people of our Village, and all those who work with, for, or on behalf it, will know that it will be of utmost importance that our Village government be dedicated to providing effective services to the citizens of our community. Our responses to your cares and concerns will be polite, respectful, and as expeditious as possible.
In the months ahead, I intend to work in concert with our Board of Trustees, community and business leaders, and interested investors, to maximize our Village's economic development potential. Our Marina is poised for major enhancements. It can be transformed into a more pedestrian, boater and small-business-friendly environment. Our bustling Central Business District offers a myriad of new residential, dining and entertainment opportunities. And development of the former United Hospital site is a priority that can no longer be delayed. The right kind of development of these and other projects will help the Village to expand our tax base and simultaneously enable the Village to alleviate the oppressive tax burden that is now a major burden on our home, property and business
owners.
In giving the people of Port Chester my word that I would work hard on these long-sought-for objectives, it is my goal to obtain results -- results that the people of our Village can see and measure for themselves. This is what my service as your Mayor will be all about.
