The Board of Ethics is appointed by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Port Chester. The members of the Board of Ethics serve at the pleasure of the Board.
The Board of Ethics renders advisory opinions to officers and employees of the Village of Port Chester pursuant to the written request of any such officer or employee. In addition, it may make recommendations with respect to the drafting and adoption of a Code of Ethics or amendments thereto upon request of the Village Board of Trustees of the Village of Port Chester.
The Corporation Counsel and Village Attorney are authorized to provide legal advice to the Board of Ethics upon request.
